1. The objective of funding OLA-IS is identical to any f2f group funding
their local District and Information Service entities.

2. IMHO, the fact that WSO decreed that OLA-IS is not an Information
Service does not make it so. Remember, the service manual states "WSO does
not control or direct".

3. The OLA-IS is an Information Service and performs the same functions as
an f2f Information Service. In fact, approximately 25% of all the folks
that find ASP do so via the OLA-IS web site.

4. OLA-IS is certainly not an outside entity. It was formed by several
members of Al-Anon to serve Al-Anon online with full respect of our
Traditions. OLA-IS continues to perform that service and there is no
evidence that any outside entity is in any way running OLA-IS.

5. WSO recognized OLA-IS as an Al-Anon entity and accepted donations from
OLA-IS before WSO said they can't be an IS. WSO continues to recognize
OLA-OC as they choose to call it and are still willing to accept donations
from them.

6. If you believe that OLA-IS is an outside entity because it is online and
since WSO said it can't be an IS, then it follows that ASP is also online
and since WSO says we can't be a group then we must be an outside entity and
therefore maybe we should just shut down ASP and go home to our f2f
meetings.

7. If you believe that OLA-IS is an outside entity, then it follows that
none of the online meetings should have anything to do with OLA-IS, nor
should WSO. As a direct result, OLA-IS would run out of money before long
and the web site would disappear.

Love and SERENITY,
Steve
