Hello all!

First, point of information, please:
1. Is the Chair of the meeting allowed to make motions? Never heard of such
a thing anywhere else...
2. Is the other "trusted servant" allowed to set forth the "reminder" that
the meeting is every other month and then second a motion the Chair made as a
result of the other's "reminder"?

If this is, indeed, a legitimate part of this supposedly democratic process,
is it in the best interest of ASP to conduct meetings in this "top down"
fashion?

Because we are discussing the important issue of where ASP members
contributions will be going I would think our group might be better served if we had
a full month rather than a week to discuss the issue, especially since we
participants are prohibited from making motions. I vote against closing the
meeting now.

If this is not possible or if the group votes to close it then I hope the
"trusted servants" will at the very least pledge to put a freeze on taking
money out of the ASP account (except for the $99 for the server fee) until the
next meeting when members jointly decide how and where their contributions
will be spent.

Beth
