1. The chair didn't make a motion, she asked for a motion.
2. I am not a trusted servant of ASP. I hold no elected or appointed
position at ASP, except for being the resident has-been.
3. Yes, I made the reminder. Does it matter WHO made the reminder. I'm
simply the one that remembered it and brought it up. If someone else had
remembered it, I'm sure the results would have been the same.
4. Since the point of my reminder was in fact, well taken, the chair
responded with a request for a motion to close the meeting till next month.
5. I made the motion, as an ordinary member of this meeting, which is what
I am.
Frankly, I don't see a problem with that process.
As for the discussion on where the money will go . . . we simply have not
decided that yet. I'm sure we will have ample opportunity to discuss this
thoroughly until every member of this meeting has had a full opportunity to
be well informed. If I thought we were short circuiting our discussion to
rush a group conscience to meet someone's agenda, you can be sure that I'd
have something to say about that. If you have doubts about that, then try
to think of a time when you've seen me rush something through.
Leading this meeting is a royal PITA. I know; I did it for 10 years. You
can't make all the people happy all the time, so you just do the best you
can and do it as fairly as you can. As I mentioned before, I think Dawn is
doing a hell of a job. And she's doing it, not me. I'm just that outspoken
old fart that's been around ASP since the gitgo and around f2f service for
almost 25 years.
Now, I'm going to do something important before I go to bed, like play
another hand of solitaire. :-)
Hugs,
Steve
