Hi again,

I don't think it's possible to determine in advance what it would cost to
move ASP again.  First, there is the issue of when?  It could happen this
summer, or it might not happen for 5-10 years.  Another one of those One Day
at a Time things.  :-)

Most providers want either (a) a credit card number or (b) a year's expenses
paid up front.  When I was the List Owner, I used my credit card, but that's
not an appropriate solution any more.  We were fortunate that the folks at
Esosoft BOTH (a) gave us a nice price as a public service organization AND
(b) they agreed to be paid monthly with only a $100 startup fee.  This was a
lucky deal that we can't count on next time.  So, IMHO, we need to have a
full year's server costs available for the LA to start service with a new
provider.
