Thank you for all the research & information Dawn.  I appreciate hearing everyone's thoughts on what to do with all that money we plan to have over our prudent reserve at the end of the year(smile).  What a problem, huh? Each Al-Anon member can contribute to WSO on their own but not as a group if that group is not an Al-Anon group. Since Jerry sent a good sized contribution last year to WSO from our group that means one of two things to me: 1) We are considered an Al-Anon group or 2) WSO is accepting funds from an outside entity.  If they have accepted funds from the ASP On-line Al-Anon Group  and do not consider us an Al-Anon meeting then they are obligated to return those funds to ASP, in keeping with Tradition Seven. I tend to agree with Bob L and his idea of sending some support to WSO. It is a simple act of unconditional love for our program. Principles above Personalities.  Even if we can't see that we are getting any benefits we still ought to support WSO. I found this group through the WSO web-site so they do something for us. The big question is though, can WSO accept our contribution??? I believe that we will have a voice & a vote in a few years.  People are afraid of change and so progress is extreemly slow. I spoke up for on-line meetings at our last assembly and mentioned things that our Delegate hadn't thought of like the importance of these meetings can be for the hearing impared and members who are seriously disabled or in towns that have no f2f meetings. She promised to bring it up at the next Word Conference Meeting as one of the two questions she is to bring to the table for discussion.  I hope she will do that. We just have to keep on trucking and we will get there. Many f2f members I have talked to are intimidated by on-line meetings simply because they have been afraid to use the internet or they don't care to write.  The more we show our own enthusiam for our on-line meeting, the more they will feel at ease.  If we show that we are a thriving on-line group that is willing to support our WSO I would say we are going to be looked at again. Good things are hard to ignore. We are really pioneers in this type of meeting...it will catch on with people and then WSO will follow.  Emee
