In response to Beth's question...

If OLA-OC has access and input at WSO and WSC they may
be the only avenue on-line groups have to get our positions across
and help guide WSO policy regarding online meetings. They seem
to be the only game in town right now. When I say "they" I mean
those who serve at OLA-OC. I believe that our List Administrator
and perhaps others are eligible to run for office or become active in
the OLA-OC. This could give us even more input.

Also, I don't believe anyone is suggesting that we donate to OLA
to the exclusion of the WSO. There may be some rancor in the ranks
(well-deserved) as to how WSO responds to our requests, but it would
surprise me if we decided not to support WSO at all.

I'd like to see something close to what someone suggested earlier:
a set percentage of available funds over expenses allocated to whatever
list of recipients this group decides on. As an example (neither a proposal
nor recommendation) we could designate 75% to WSO, 15% to literature
expenses, and 10% to OLA-OC (if deemed appropriate) distributed quarterly.
Some such list would work well and be easy to manage.

Jerry
