[Businessmtg] business meeting

I was thinking the same thing as Heather. Having served as a greeter I know the volume of time it can take and asking the greeters to take on more responsibility than they already have would be asking a lot. I also know how many people join and never participate or ask to be removed in several days. However, that happens at a f2f Al-Anon meeting, too. Our local Al-Anon meeting has a format that people share on the first step whenever there is a new person. I have thought, "Again??" We have had a lot of first step topic meetings in a row! Also, people come once and and never return. I do believe offering literature is an important and necessary ingredient of a meeting. A Merry-go-round Called Denial laid on my nightstand for a long time before I ever returned to an Al-Anon meeting but it had been read many times.

Just my 2 cents.

Kathy
