[Businessmtg] Newcomer packets

Hi everyone!
 
It's nice to see everyone's creative ideas on this issue.   
Sometimes when newcomers have written to me off list,  I''ve  referred them 
to particular pieces of CAL or passages in ODAT or other CAL book  and 
encouraged them to attend a f2f meeting where they can get them.  And,  this has 
actually worked because it gave them a reason to get themselves to a  f2f meeting 
some have written to say how much that meeting meant to them  and they will go 
back again.  If they say they can't get to a  meeting, then I send them a link 
to the WSO literature site.  

 
I don't think we should take on the newcomer packets as an ASP  expense.  
However, if the consensus is to offer something then I think  Jerry's idea of 
putting together a few inexpensive pieces of literature that  require only 
minimal standard postage is a good middle ground solution  and that we should try it 
for 3 months to learn what the need and  expenses are .
