I am gonna jump out on a limb here and observe that I think you may be wrong.  

More than one person has already suggested the possibility of changing the current expectations for trusted servants.  It seems to me that it is the current trusted servants who are not listening to those suggestions.  

I submit that if this approach continues, browbeating someone or guilting them into volunteering for service work will not work.  

We need to be more honest and accepting that when suggestions are made to change things, those need to be taken seriously, and not just sloughed off as unimportant or somehow not valuable suggestions.  

I don't mean to be rude, but I think that this group has some serious control issues that current "trusted servants" refuse to acknowledge or address.
