Hi ASPers,

Al-Anon's Concept One states: "Participation is the key to harmony."

It's no coincidence that this is the first Concept.  

While I definitely agree that it would be inappropriate (as well as very
difficult) to establish a schedule or guideline or formulae that defines
adequate 'participation' in ASP, I also believe that it is very appropriate
for us to require a year's participation in ASP as a prerequisite to serving
as an officer.

IMHO, a simple wording of the requirement such as:
 

"One year's participation in ASP is a prerequisite to serving as an officer
of ASP.  Participation may take many forms, but merely having one's email
address on the ASP server is not participation."


I'd also like to say that I really like Anne's suggestion that the resume be
modified to include the question:


"In what way do you feel you participate or contribute to the group?"
