Hello Business Meeting Participants,
 
I am in support of some of the ideas that have been shared on this topic. 
 
I support 1 year of participation in ASP in order to serve as an officer.
 
I do not think we should have a "formula" to define participation, (such as "shares at least weekly"). I may participate in ways that the general membership doesn't see, such as when I share ESH privately with another member. I also don't want to judge of the "quality" of someone's share. 
 
I am in favor of the statement that was suggested:
"One year's participation in ASP is a prerequisite to serving as an officer
of ASP.  Participation may take many forms, but merely having one's email
address on the ASP server is not participation."

I am also in favor of modifiying the resume to include the question:
"In what way do you feel you participate or contribute to the group?"
