[Businessmtg] Position Intro by Current Treasurer

Biz-Pal$, 



Just a quick note to those considering tossing their 

hat in the ring for the Treasurer position... 



This job is really quite easy. Once everything is set 

up (bank accounts, PayPal account, program loaded on 

your computer and spreadsheet copied to your file, 

Post Office box opened, etc.) it takes only an average 

of an hour or two a month to keep things up and running. 



The bulk of the work is stopping by the PO box 2-4 times 

a month to collect those cards and letters (neat stuff) 

and getting to the bank to make deposits. PayPal donations 

pretty much take care of themselves except for transferring 

them once a month to the bank account. 



In the past (that is during my official three-year stint) 

I attempted to sent out a monthly summary which took a little 

time, but we seem to be operating well enough for the (2 yrs +/-) 

since then without it. All details do get updated on the website 

at least monthly, so that's pretty much an constantly available 

report already. 



In any case, if anyone has any specific questions, I'll try to 

answer them and assuage any fears about this being too difficult 

or overly time-consuming. That, and I and others are available 

to coach/coax you along if you would need it. 



I'm anxious to make your transition as easy as possible. (Don't 

ask me to list my motives for this - just toss that hat in the 

ring!!!! - :-)
