A few different issues have been brought up.

1. Updating software - it appears that this is important and should be taken
care of in the near future.

2. Paypal and Incorporation - I don't think there is a good alternative out
there yet to Paypal. Paypal makes it much simpler for our 7th Tradition as
our members around the world can donate.   Any changes to the signing
authorities on either Paypal or Bank Accounts are not going to be easy.
Since Sept 11th banking around the world became more difficult for small
groups and non-profits as we have to legitimize our existence.  It just is a
fact of life.  Incorporating will not likely make it simpler to make changes
in our Banking but it will give us  a more formal presence.

3. What is the status of the Incorporation? What are the costs involved?

4.  Funds above our prudent reserve? Even with purchasing software and
incorporation costs we still have excess funds.  Have we ever made a
donation to World Service Office?

Use of Group Funds

*Rent and Other Group Expenses*

   Our Tradition of self-support suggests that the expenses for the group's
operation such as rent, literature, insurance, supplies, post office box
rental, Group representatives, and Information service representatives
expenses be met first. Remaining funds may be used to support local and Area
structures and the World Service Office.

   At locations where rent may not be accepted, a supply of Al-Anon/Alateen
Conference Approved literature and local meeting schedules may be provided
to the facility as an appropriate alternative.

*Donations to Outside Agencies*

   In keeping with our Sixth Tradition, group funds are to be used for
Al-Anon/Alateen purposes only. Groups may use their funds to purchase
Al-Anon/Alateen literature to donate to outside agencies, activities, and
programs for public outreach.
