I personally don't believe asking about time committment is inappropriate.  It may actually be something wise to include on job descriptions.  Because these are not positions in f2f meetings where one can observe some of the committment, it is even more important to be forward about what the commitment entails.  You wouldn't want a misunderstanding about time commitment, and then have someone fail because it was more than they could take on.  We want someone taking on these positions to be confident and looking realistically at what responsibilities they are assuming.  I had no idea that the list admin position took an hour each day outside reading each share.  I've always respected it, but do now more than ever.  Thank you Denise for all you have done for this meeting.
