[Businessmtg] April discussion - funds over prudent reserve

Hi All,
I too am in favor in sending all of our current excess funds to the WSO.
However, I am not comfortable with setting a fixed amount and prefer the %
allocations that I see in F2F meetings. Excess over prudent reserve is
variable, a fixed amount to the WSO turns that donation into an expense
which it is NOT. Plus, there are other Al-Anon service arms that very
likely have a greater need for funds than the WSO and worth exploring. They
include public outreach efforts, OLA-IS, GSO, and in the US and Canada there
are Area Assemblies that geographically map to many if not most of our
members. Any of these entities could benefit from our support and they in
turn would donate a portion of their excess to the WSO.
My two cents... Hugs,
Anne O.

Thank you for sharing. Anyone else?
As a reminder, this is purely a discussion month.
I hope to hear from more of the steering committee.
hugs,
Melanie
