The basket was passed not too long ago, and I did make a donation, so I knowthat has happened. I have been in ASP for 2 winters now and it is my first experience with an onlinemeeting.  When I joined, I was not offered the option of a newcomer's packet that I can remember.  Perhaps that is because I was not new to Al-Anon?  I have never been to a f2f meeting where a newcomer's packet was not automaticallygiven to the newcomer, including a list of phone numbers of members willing to be called.Obviously, this is all paper. Since ASP is online meeting, I agree with the person who suggested newcomers bereferred to the online resources and the expense of packets would then be a mootpoint.  They would not then be counted in our expenses as part of prudent reserve.Linda
