Dear Business Meeting Participants,
We have made progress on eliminating one of the options by applying that the OLA
doesn't exist anymore.
Please offer comments on the other 2 suggestions. Is the WSO the best way to
place our funds over prudent reserve? What would a common room require and/or
look like?
Hugs,
Melanie
-----------------------------------------------
Our next item of business for the month of February 2013 is a financial
discussion on Treasury Funds over prudent reserve, about $500. There has been
much discussion and no consensus over some time.
Members have suggested we should contribute/spend funds over prudent reserve in
various ways:
* Send a percentage to WSO
* Send a percentage to OLA(DEFUNCT, no longer applies)
* Support a common room at the upcoming AFG International in Vancouver, BC.
Several computers would be online where members of online Al-Anon meetings
could come in, meet each other f2f, as well as an opportunity for regular f2f
members to experience the online meetings with some assistance from
knowledgeable members. Here is a link to the convention:

Discussion is encouraged at this time.
As a reminder:
6. The Business Meeting discusses one and only one topic at a time. It is
the member's responsibility to confine their discussion and comments to the
topic currently under discussion -- please read all of the new posts to the
Business Meeting before you post a response. Members who violate this will
be placed on Moderated Status on the server - your messages will not be
posted by the server until approved by the Moderator.
7. The Business Meeting is using the KBDM process.
If this process doesn't appear to be working properly, the Chairperson may
switch the Business Meeting to the traditional style based loosely on
Robert's Rules of Order.
7.a. KBDM: Motions are developed by consensus after thorough
discussion. If there is no consensus, then no motion is to be made.
IMPORTANT NOTE: There will be NO MOTION until after the Chair has stated
that there appears to be a consensus and described the consensus. There is
NEVER a Call for the Question under the KBDM process.
7.b. Robert's Rules: Motions are made from the floor and seconded, with
discussion following.
Hugs,
Melanie
