I have just had a chance to catch up on all of the emails over the past few days.  I agree with so many opinions already expressed that to be so close to a consensus without finalizing things by the end of the month concerning sending donations to WSO would be tragic. I would love to see us bring this important progress to a confirmed decision.  
 
My only caution is in how much now.  In my experience, prudent reserve put aside, is untouchable except for a crisis.  And I agree that a year's expenses in prudent reserve is wise.  So my concern is to donate all funds over that amount would basically leave our account at $0 of disposable funds.  If I have misunderstood this, I would welcome clarity.  So if the "how much" is part of this discussion, my opinion is to exercise caution until we have a better understanding of some other needs with new people filling responsibilities that have been empty for some time.  Once money is donated, it is gone.  I would hate to handicap good progress with people in newly acquired positions for the benefit of our members because we donated too much to the WSO in haste. 
 
I am proud to be a part of this group, and do have faith in this process.  I believe in and deeply respect whatever decision is formed by a true group conscience.
