[Businessmtg] Tradition 7

Dear business members,

Well I guess I'm probably the
one who is chiming in too much and sounding controlling. As I understand,
this is an open discussion meeting and this is an important issue for all of us
to discuss openly. I also believe we are allowed to crosstalk during this business meeting. I will give all the ESH that I have, to support what I
believe in. I will never try to stop anyone else from expressing their
opinions either. Everyone has a right to be heard, and to be heard with consideration. I apologise if I have stepped on anyone's toes.
Tradition seven: Every GROUP
ought to be totally self supporting, declining outside contributions.

Even though ASP is not considered an official GROUP (but a registered meeting)
we have still agreed to abide by the same commitments as any Al-Anon GROUP
would.

According to T-7 we are responsible for our
own well-being...financially, emotionally and spiritually, the same as any other
group. If we need funds it is our responsibility to see that we budget our
finances well and ask our membership for what we need. Warranty One talks
about this very thing. It is not the responsibility of WSO to support us at all.

What we send to WSO should be
ONLY our excess...money that we willing send as a gift to help WSO spread the
message. We don't send it with expectations of being repaid. We let WSO decide
where it can best be spent. A gift is not a gift unless it is unconditional,
right?

I think that just being linked
to the WSOs web site, and being allowed to use the Al-Anon program in an
online format is wonderful and helps so many members. Can someone tell me what more we expect from WSO ?

Emee

PS I will zip it now. Thanks for your patience with me.
