I have read all the emails on the topic with deep interest. It is a learning experience for me and compelled me to find out what the WSO is and its role in ASP.

While I initially had reservations about giving all the excess funds because I read that WSO  legally represents only a handful of countries, while ASP is worldwide, I agree that given the message in most of the emails, there seems to be a consensus that WSO is a wise recipient of the excess funds. However, I tend to agree with the comment that it may not be wise to send all of the excess funds to them. I don't see any compelling reason to do that. I understand that it is uncomfortable to let it sit here in ASP and not being used to benefit others, but it would be good to know that the amount will not be sitting also when with WSO. I do have huge trust on the ASP steering committee that they can find ways to make good use of a portion of the excess to benefit the members of ASP in some ways. I'm just uncomfortable in the all or nothing idea.
