Dear Steve & SC members …. my
comments will follow the ***
More specifically, Emee made
reference to the Steering Committee acting as if it’s God, and expressed
concerns “And now that I have said this, I fear I will be put on MONITER
status, or worse.”
*** First, I believe I need to
apologize for including the "whole steering committee" in my
statement to the group, as my comment was intended for Steve. I have been assuming that he is the one influencing all
the final decisions made by the SC. One
of the SC members has actually been very helpful & understanding with me about my “minor”
issue so I do owe her a personal apology as well. Second, this was a harsh statement to make
out loud to the group (even if I do FEEL this way inside). I am sincerely sorry
for insulting the SC and Steve with my bad choice of words. I will make an
honest attempt to curtail my hurtful comments in the future. Steve, I know we do not agree on several issues
but I do love you and appreciate you as a person and I am so grateful or all you have done here
for ASP. I know that you are doing what
you believe is the right thing , the same as I believe I am doing the right thing.....you do not deserve my insults.
Complaining about the fact that a trivial issue didn’t make it on the agenda
when the meeting is faced with serious & challenging issues is a little
annoying.
*** The issue in question is a
minor one true, compared to the present issue we are facing. However, I believe
it is important enough to bring it to the table and let the group decide on the
outcome. There has been plenty of time
to present this issue since it was submitted in July of 2011. It is a simple thing that could be decided
quickly. Several business meetings have closed early and I find it very
frustrating that this "minor" issue wasn’t addressed at one of those
times. Again, I felt that you Steve, had made the decision to by-pass my
request because of personal issues with WSO. I submitted my "minor" issue to the SC back in July of 2011 and it was
totally ignored. You must know understand how that feels since you have just shared
how WSO ignored you. Then when I dropped another note to the SC at the beginning
of this year, explaining how I felt about my issue being ignored, I was told that
my issue would not be considered for the agenda at all. …settled, done. Hum..........this did seem very controlling to me.
However, suggesting that the Steering Committee is acting like God is something
that I find extremely offensive and take quite seriously. This is not OK.
*** God is in control! I think it would serve us ALL to remember this!
Emee
