[Businessmtg] Business Meeting - Off Topic Emails

I have been reading all the shares on this today and even already added my
thoughts.  Then I read some of the older shares and decided I need to
change my ideas somewhat.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Off Topic shares are necessary, especially for
newcomers.  We are all adults and know how to use the delete button if we
choose.  I just always choose not to.  Yes, the focus needs to stay on the
Daily Topics.  I am the one that chooses to read Off Topic emails.  I know
when I joined ASP, the responses and support I received was amazing.  If
someone would have told me I had to post a certain thing somewhere outside
of the actual recovery group, I would have felt like I didn't belong or I
was on probation or something.

There are so many good ideas.  One more idea....when the greeters send out
welcome emails, attach an already prepared list of do's and don'ts.  Like
Ali and others have said, some new members are too distraught to navigate
through the website.
