As a fairly new member (6 months). Adding more than I was originally receiving would have only made me further overwhelmed. 
I would suggest leaving it the way it is and even trying to create a more cut and dry explanation of how ASP works?Perhaps, a condensed version in the welcome letter with a link to read all of the fine print? 
That would have helped me. 
The welcomes were nice but nearly made me shut the whole thing down (again overwhelmed).
