[Businessmtg] show of hands

I have no problem with asking for a show of hands, since it is only being
used as a tool before a motion. I counted 37 members in the meeting,. I
would prefer a poll rather than 37 emails. The tone and attempt of control
seems to be taking over this meeting. The outline Steve gave us for the
poll leaves too many blanks to fill in making it complicated. If it is a
show of hands and not a discussion, IMHO all we need is yes or no to take a
vote without more discussions. If the noes have it then we leave it on the
table longer. We elected Laura to chair the meetings and if it isn't done
the way someone else did it 10 years ago so be it. As long as it is in the
guidelines given her, I think she deserves our trust to do the job. Without
trusting our service members that volunteer ASP will stalemate with no one
taking on the position.
One side note. I do not agree about changing the reply settings to send to
everyone. If I want to say something to someone in private that is my
choice. It is not a disrupting the meeting.
