I like Jane's idea of making the introduction a choice. And although I know ASP strongly urges new members to get a dedicated email address for the list serve, it seems not everyone does. Is it because they're less tech savvy or don't believe that they'll receive that many emails? Do we need stronger language on the value of a different email address? (Keep meetings out of your personal inbox. Delete entire days with a single click!) 

Just my thoughts. It's raining now - so delightful!
