I too wish to put my voice out there as to what is going on inside the business meeting.  While i may be new to the business meeting, i am not new to organizational infighting.  personally, i find this to be really disturbing.  as referenced by others, the traditions and concepts outline the guidelines to keep this group healthy and to create a space for personal dignity, unity  and for humility.  what happened to practicing them as they are meant to be utilized?  i find this to be self defeating and personally damaging to not only the individual(s) being targeted, but to the business meeting attendees as well.  If we cannot step above ourselves, and look at the betterment of the group, it is time step down and let someone else serve.  Instead of condemming and insulting the members  who serve it is time for this group to look at the issues and to quit targeting each other.  principles above personalities is really important here.  i see no principles being practiced at all with this ongoing bickering.  it is time to put personal issues aside and to do what we are here to do.  deal with the business at hand and move forward.
as for targeting certain members of this ongoing "discussion", this is damaging for them (all of them),  for the group as a whole and to those that wish to serve within this fellowship, but are now afraid to step up.  we do not have the right to tarnish the gift that new service members want to bring to this group.   if we cannot do this, shame  on us...all of us.   that said, it damages the business meeting members as well.  it leaves a bad taste for all of us.   it is time to allow new blood, to encourage new members to come forward with a positive take on things, and to work with all those that have a place and a voice in ASP.   this means that as our trusted servants step down, we need to learn to pick up and work with old and new changes and move forward with no blame.   instead of trying to find the bad in everything, it is time to look for the good.  if we cannot practice the legacies in good faith, it may be time to step back and reevaluate why we are really here.  personal issues have no place and we do not govern....  it is time to quit taking things personally and to look at the bigger picture.  we need to look out for the membership,  to address the issues on the agenda and to get on with the business meeting.  its time for all of us to work together.

this said, i put a motion forward to extend this meeting for another 30 days.  If there is someone that is willing to second this, it would give us a way to create a healthy business meeting by moving forward, letting the personality stuff go and getting on with business.  thanks for reading and letting me share.

we can do better as a group and we can insure through our actions that our members continue to have a place to work on their recovery. (by the way, that also includes our trusted servants). we all deserve a healthy place to work and to get healthy.
