[Businessmtg] Beginners' Resource/Forum Refurb

Good morning all 😊
The newcomers being overwhelmed (by many things including the instructions)
has been discussed, in length, in other business meetings. This seems to
me to be an ongoing issue for newcomers and in my opinion if it is
considered broke by the majority AND can be fixed...then we should at least
give it a try. Ignoring it is a disservice to all. I think we can improve
our welcome. For me, that doesn't just mean saying welcome to Alanon and
our online group, it means taking it a step further if need be and helping
them get started..

As is stated in our welcome:

“Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics. We do this by
practicing the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of
alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic.”

~Al-Anon/Alateen Service Manual, page 53
Thank you for letting me share my thoughts,
Kristen
