[Businessmtg] Question on Reply/Reply All/Starting a New email

Hi,

I wanted to address Kristen's question about meeting responses.

As your meeting administrator,  I am dealing with 8-10 rejected emails *every
day* because people are hitting reply to all without thinking about it. It
seems particularly bad this time around.

In this meeting, just as in the recovery meeting, reply to all is not
acceptable and will cause the email to be rejected.


Now, stepping outside the meeting administrator shoes...I can see where
doing a reply would keep the messages in a thread.

However, and this is my personal opinion and is in no way representative of
anything discussed in the steering committee or to my knowledge the
business meeting...

(And I am allowed to express my opinion because I am a full participant in
this meeting, so I don't want to hear about me stepping outside my role...)

I personally believe that hitting reply is tantamount to cross talk.

This is something that has bothered me greatly during this meeting,
particularly when people are answering questions specifically directed at
other people.

You can expect to see something on the agenda in a future business meeting
about crosstalk within the business meeting.
