Evening Biz Pals,

Throwing up some more ideas since they seem to be coming rapidly with the
prompts of creative fellow members. Thanks everyone!

In response to Jane, I ended up looking at both pages side by side (I
think Steve was looking on the newcomer page? ) and found some things on
the asp member page I think might be the ideal thing to start the newcomer
page with (see quotes area below). If I am wrong than disregard that and
allow me to give a thumbs up to the beginning of the newcomer page.

"*A Serenity Place* (ASP) is a closed, online Al-Anon email meeting. We
meet twenty-four hours a day, seven days per week. There is a new meeting
every day of the week, with the chair announcing the topic some time during
that day. Some days of the week are structured topics and others are open
topic. Structured topics focus on themes such as the Steps or the Slogans.
Open topic meetings are at the discretion of the chair. Please see Daily
Meetings <http://asp-afg.org/members/daily-meeting-schedule/> for more
information."

I am starting to look at this "newcomer page" as an "about us" like
businesses do. Whereby, the most pertinent information is stated first and
prominently displayed , which generally looks like:
history, hours of operation, goods/services provided, forms of payment,
yadayadayada.
-For me, I think it's okay if there is repetition in the member page and
the newcomer page.
-I think a specific FAQ for newcomers on that same page would be great
-emails of our steering committee members
