Hello Folks,
I am concerned about the terminology and believe it may be wise to receive
some clarification to ensure I/we are on the same page.
In reading the emails from members of this business meeting, I noticed that
I need a few terms clarified to make an informed decision. If anyone can
help me get a handle on this, I would be grateful for your help.

The Chair of the business meeting (thank you Laura M. for your service)
opened the business meeting with a list of items on the Agenda.

 *Our first item was written as follows by the Business Meeting Chair;*
*"That a temporary committee be formed, answerable to the
Business Committee, to reassess ASP's newcomer-related materials and how
ASP could better serve newcomer needs."*
*My questions*:
1. What exactly does a "temporary committee" constitute?
2. What/Who is the "Business Committee"?
3. In what way is the temporary committee and its members answerable to the
Business Committee?


*Business Meeting Members' Motion:*
*"I move that the ASP Secretary form a temporary committee/work*

*group of interested ASP members to produce a template for the
NewcomersPage on the ASP Members website to be presented to the Business
Meeting."*
*My questions**:*
1. The ASP Secretary will have the authority to form the temporary
committees during Business Meetings?
2. The temporary committee works to create a template that will be
presented to the Business Meeting but is not answerable to the Business
Committee?
