   Thank you all who have responded. Much of what you said echo my
   thoughts so I won't repeat everything.


   I applaud the intention to help new people with every bit of help
   possible.


   It's my opinion that physical products are not a good match with an
   electronic meeting. Resources for beginners here should be electronic
   and not breaking the copyright rules.


   We've voted about a committee to work on beginner materials for our
   website and this, I believe, is the correct path.

   Information, though not identical to a traditional beginner's packet,
   will be a reasonable and in many ways even better resource than the
   paper one.

   I think we should move to cancel the motion which created it.
