We have a motion on the floor. We need to stick to our process. 

It is not acceptable to call for the election of a new secretary during this business meeting as the group at large has not been made aware of the opening nor asked whether anyone would like to step up. 

Additionally, while we should certainly consider principles over personalities, the ongoing public shaming, arguing, and general pot stirring is reprehensible. One can only be publicly called out for one's errors, be they deliberate or more likely accidental, before one simply says 'enough'!

So to our longtimers who have a wealth of knowledge to impart I would suggest teaching those of us who are less informed rather than shaming and criticizing your way to 'rightness'. 

Oh and PS, I too resign from the steering  committee. Little has changed in the more than 3 years I've served. Let's let Steve and Jerry run the show. They're pretty good at it. Sandie, in also done with this business meeting. Please remove me.
