Introduction:
Jane Srygley was voted in as ASP Webmaster at the Business Meeting in October 2014. At the time, ASP had a html site online for both the public and the member sites that had been designed using Front Page/Expression Web. Jane ran into some difficulty downloading Front Page/Expression Web on her computer, so she first discussed it with Steve Rankin and then brought it to the Steering Committee.
The document entitled "Website Decision 2014-Switching to Wordpress" details an exchange of emails which began on 11/30/14. The first email exchange is a private conversation between Steve and Jane. All other emails were addressed to the entire Steering Committee unless otherwise indicated. Additional pertinent emails are included at the end.
After the public website was approved using Wordpress, Jane Srygley (Webmaster) started work on a new member site. The document entitled "Members Only Website Decision 2015" contains the text from email exchanges regarding the approval of the member site by the Steering Committee. All emails were addressed to the entire Steering Committee unless otherwise indicated.
The Steering Committee during this period consisted of Jane (Webmaster), Steve (ASP Founder), Cyndi (List Administrator), Melanie S (Secretary), Melanie H (Treasurer), and Apryl (Greeter Chair).
The document entitled "Members Only Websites--Old Versus New" is a comparison between the old member site http://www.asp-afg.org/ASP/MembersOnly/index.htm and the new member site http://asp-afg.org/members/
Any questions, please feel free to ask.

Some of you may be unfamiliar with using the 5 KBDM questions for discussions - (also referred to as 5 Questions for a Informed Group Conscience)
Please do your best in answering the questions. You should be familiar with the website before you answer the questions. They should help with the discussion and to ensure that we are all on the same page.
The ASP web site for ASP members is http://asp-afg.org/members/
1. What do we know about our members' (and prospective members') needs,
wants, and preferences that relate to the A Serenity Place website?
*(What purpose would they serve? Is it necessary? Is it helpful?)*
2. What do we know about the resources and our vision for Al-Anon and our ASP
meetings that are relevant to this issue?
*(What are our resources? Can we afford it? Do we have enough volunteers
to make it happen? Do we have any background information in our archives
that can help us answer this question?)*
3. What do we know about our "culture" and "environment" that is relevant
to this discussion? What are the implications of our choices: the pros
and cons?
*(How would this affect our meeting? How would this affect our
fellowship? Newcomers? Al-Anon (and AA) as a whole? The advantages of
this change might be ... The disadvantages might be ...) *
4. What are the ethical implications of our choices? In other words --
Will our decision be consistent with our spiritual principles, policies,
and the Twelve Steps, Traditions and Concepts?
*What are the ethical implications of our choices? Is our decision
legal? Are our decisions within our spiritual principles, policies, and
legacies? Does our Service Manual provide any guidance about this issue?
Will our decisions help us fulfill our primary purpose? If we decide to
take an action, will it be the "right" thing to do?)*
5. What do we wish we knew, but don't?
*(We night need to do some additional work and research to help us make a
sound decision.) *
*After our best efforts to answer these questions, and through listening
with open minds and hearts, we make a decision and trust in ourselves and
our Higher Power.) *
