[Businessmtg] Response to Jane's note

The motion to remove Steve from the SC was not made by me and had nothing
to do with his position on changes to the website.

Again, I simply ask that everyone read the email transcripts and decide for
themselves. I objected to Jerry's statements only to highlight the fact
that I interpret the transition to new websites differently. I invite you
all to develop your own interpretation.

Biz-Pals,

It is true that I was not a SC member at the time this problem occurred. I
was, however, a SC member shortly after the fact when attempts were being
made to censure, moderate, and delist ASP's founder, Steve - principally
Sandie, Laura, and Jane - because of his positions in defense of principles
regarding these changes and additions we're now being asked to discuss and
accept (or not).

I at that time requested the email threads on the subject so I could catch
up. My comments are based on having read through all I was provided a
number of times. There is no question that Steve claimed his responses were
regarding appearance only. Even now it is clear that the poll set up to
demonstrate how the polling feature would work can not be stretched into an
official Group Conscience approving content changes.

I can accept that I may have a detail here and there slanted a bit. In this
I feel I am not alone. An acceptable solution should not be to take the
questionable poll results as a given, but to simply review Jane's work
product against the original language and content and make assessments
based on any differences where they occur.

Difficult personality conflicts are in play here along with disputed facts
and strong positions regarding them. The only way to arrive at a healthy
solution I can see is that we all lay down our swords and shields, we
re-address the document content, then come to an acceptable resolution and
then move on.

Continuing the rancor can only lead to no good.

In service,
Jerry
