Hello Biz friends...
I am Anne, ASP Archivist, a member of the Steering Committee and currently
meeting facilitator for the Newcomers committee working group. Sandie
shared the following list of agenda items prior to the opening of this
month's meeting. The last agenda topic is the report from the Newcomers
committee. It appears below. I welcome any feedback and questions from the
Business meeting members related to this update.
The next Business Meeting will commence October 1, 2017
Please advise by 9 pm EDT on September 29, 2017 if you wish to join. (Has
been extended 1 day)
The following positions are open or will be in the upcoming months. We will
have elections for the following.
- 2 Members at-large for the Steering Committee
- Secretary
- Greeter Chair
- List Administrator - term not completed but LA will resign once a new LA
has been elected.
- Webmaster (term is complete in November 2017)
Please note that all of these positions require at least one year prior
service with ASP.
We will also have a report from the Newcomer Committee.
October Report to the Business meeting-
Committee members:
Steve, Jerry, Bubbe, Jane, Denise, Kristen, Anne
* This group has been on hiatus for much of July/August/September
* We are picking up where we left off at the end of June. We have
identified pages and materials that are newcomer specific, and we are
brainstorming a variety of ideas.
* The content of the current site that has been identified by us and
the materials shared with newcomers are now under review by the group.
* Greeter Letter #1 - sent to prospective members after they contact
us
* Greeter Instructions - Directions for our greeters on enrolling new
members
* Greeter Letter #2 - sent to new members after enrollment
* Newcomers' Page on ASP Website
* Instructions Page on ASP Website
* Still outstanding: The LA's email to the new member
* So, we are only now starting to dig in to the content-with the goal
of eliminating redundancy, simplifying content so that it is clear and easy
to read.
* Only after this review and analysis can this group make a
recommendation.
* Unfortunately, we do not have a timeline in place.
Hugs, Serenity and peace to all,
Anne
