Welcome fellow ASP members to our September Business Meeting. My name is 
Jerry and I'll be your Chairperson this month.

Could we pause for a moment of silence followed by the Serenity 
Prayer...

and the wisdom to know the difference.

Again, welcome. I hope we have a productive month together. I have not 
chaired this Business Meeting before. With short notice and without a 
template in hand I may be doing this differently than we have in the 
past. If I forget something just give me a shout.

The first order of business is to mention that I have had to quickly 
piece together the meeting sign-up sheet since some parts may have gone 
missing. Please check the attendance list below. If you are listed and 
didn't wish to be, notify me at la at asp-afg.org and I will remove you. If 
I've missed any member's request for membership in this Business Meeting 
I hope they will contact me so I can add them.

Okey doke, I think that's it. We have two items on this month's agenda:

1) Seeking approval of ASP's reconstructed website content. This has 
been discussed for a number of months and I believe it is ready for 
final discussions, possible motion(s) and vote(s), and
2) ASP is in need of someone from this Business Meeting to stand for our 
group's Treasurer position.

It seems practical to me to begin item 2) first since the call for 
candidates is to remain open for seven days to allow time for members to 
give this some thought and submit their resumes. I will post a separate 
notice calling for resumes very shortly.

While we are awaiting responses to the call for resumes we can move on 
to item 1), the website discussions. There may be some new Business 
Meeting members who are unfamiliar with our past discussions so once I 
post the call for resumes I will post a short summary of where we are 
and then open the table for discussions. It would be grand if we could 
get a consensus on our website's content so we can put this baby to bed. 
Look for this topic to be posted on Sunday.
