Happy Saturday, Business meeting friends. 

 

My name is Anne, I am the elected ASP Archivist and the facilitator for the
Newcomer Committee.  Per the listed agenda topics, I am sharing the
Newcomers Committee update.  Nothing has changed since my last update in
October, that should be changing shortly.

 

January 2017 Update.

 

The Newcomers committee has been dormant since the summer. With the new
year, we will re-engage in discussions. One goal is to assemble some sort of
loose timeline, in Al-Anon, we must let the process unfold.  Somehow we must
find a way to move from brainstorming to decision making.   My next step is
a roll call of the committee members.

October 2017 Update to the Business Meeting.

 

*             This group has  been on hiatus for much of
July/August/September

*             We are picking up where we left off at the end of June.   We
have

identified pages and materials that are newcomer specific, and we are
brainstorming a variety of ideas.

*             The content of the current site that  has been identified by
us and

the materials shared with newcomers are now under review by the group.   

 

*             Greeter Letter #1 - sent to prospective members after they
contact

us

*             Greeter Instructions - Directions for our greeters on
enrolling new

members

*             Greeter Letter #2 - sent to new members after enrollment

*             Newcomers' Page on ASP Website

*             Instructions Page on ASP Website

*             Still outstanding: The LA's email to the new member

 

*             So, we are only now starting to dig in to the content-with the
goal

of eliminating redundancy, simplifying content so that it is clear and easy
to read.  

*             Only after this review and analysis can this group make a

recommendation.    

*             Unfortunately, we do not have a timeline in place.
