Jennifer and all,

ASP has well-considered standards set by a Group Conscience for its 
service positions. As the List Administrator it wouldn't do to have me 
advocating that we ignore them.

The way I see it either qualified members stand for this service 
position, or the group suffers the consequences of not being fully 
welcoming to prospective newcomers. Asking other trusted servants to add 
to their regular duties to cover for the group's unwillingness to 
support itself would be, in my mind, no different than asking just a few 
members to support it financially.

When the Traditions aren't followed groups can and do falter or fail. 
Tradition 7 calls for groups to be fully self-supporting. That includes 
filling it's service positions as well as financial support.
