morning bm ASPers , steering committee and steve.....
sorry for the late response, but i needed a short time to think on this.  i looked at and addressed my concerns for the web page (among other things) at the last meeting in january.  steve addresed my concerns (ie the faq page)...while  duplicates may not hurt anything, i find them distracting, and i do not feel that duplicates lend to a professional web page.  i did not see any acronyms on that page...was i looking in the wrong place as i clearly remember seeing a seperate page that dealt only with acronyms etc, not general questions as are seen on the faq page.  both of these pages were important to me when i first came to these rooms...i learned and used the information on these pages to find my way.  did any of you find this as well?  it was/is important to my recovery....i hope others have felt and used this page in the same way.  new members often do not know what many of our terms and acronyms mean and those members coming from AA (or any other step program) need to see the differences as well.  remember we are Al-anon and we practice Al-anon spiritual principles in this group , not AA or other step programs.  the differences are really important.  

i addressed many concerns in my last post at the close of the last bm in january.  i was hoping to see some action being taken on these concerns or at the very least see some of it come to discussion in the bm.  it appears the post with my concerns did not raise enough red flags,  esp concerning the web page and possible hacking.  i do not feel that any further harping on these issues is going to resolve anything at this time and frankly,  the fact that others are not more concerned about some of this stuff makes me wonder where our priorities are regarding the health of this group.  while some addressed these issues in response to my concerns thanks to keeping the meeting running a few more days to allow for this;  most did not...would it be helpful if i repost that last post i put up....i feel that bm's should also be addressing those items that seem to stay out of sight and i am not talking about day to day stuff when i say this.   this means that the steering committee has to allow the bm to do its job....my opinion.....

if we are to have a concise and informative safe place to come to, i feel it is important to provide the needed resources for all to use and find....not just some resources.   i keep asking about doing a new group conscious or inventory...no movement or response to that either.   i will keep pinging on this till it is addressed.   this could be done easily if we put the work into setting it up...seems we need to look at where our priorities lie and what we need to work on/fix to get this back on track in some places.  i ask again why is there no committee created to work on the finalization of the web page....we need new eyes and a concentrated effort to look at the pages now in order to bring this to the group for a vote after the page has been totally returned to what it was and where we are at this time...again...my opinion.  again, its awesome that steve can work on the web site and get it back to what it was...but it is incumbent on the group to make sure it works for them...that means group involvement.  any other thoughts from anyone else out there....

lastly, we are close to the end of this meeting, so now is the time to look at this and decide what comes next.  do i need to ask that a committee be formed for this to help it (web page) along....?   if so, i am asking that a committee be formed for this purpose (web site) ?  this is a group resource and one person doing all the work seems to fall into dominance and governing...i thought we did not do this in Al-anon?  well, that is my take on this....time for input from others needed here...this is your recovery and safe place....what do you think?  again, i am happy to repost or forward the last post from january back into this meeting if you want me to..
