[Businessmtg] a couple more points for clarification and an apology to both Kristen and Anne

Hi, Karen and all,

The Policies and practices of ASP as they existed at the time of list ownership change in 2006 were approved and accepted by a unanimous group conscience. They therefore continue as our Policies and practices unless and until future KBDM discussions result a consensus to change any part of them at which time a motion would be formed, a full discussion of the motion would take place, and a vote would be taken.

The website corrections have been made as Steve has had the time and opportunity to do so. In past reports he has outlined his practice of doing running corrections having first saved former versions of the website. So it should be that what you see when you access our website today is the to-date corrected version. More corrections may be made as further input is received. As I understand it all past website versions are or will be available from archives. I leave it to Steve's upcoming website report to correct of clarify this answer to your questions.

As far as the potential for hurt feelings - nobody likes this element of email communications. Our diseases often react to presumed ill intent, and, on the other hand, word choices can occasionally allow for multiple interpretations. I think the best we can do is grant ourselves a level of acceptance that as healthy as we all might feel we still carry with us the vestiges of our pasts. Because frank talk is an essential element of effective business communications, a thicker skin is sometimes necessary. I don't know how to get around this other than having everyone bring their very best to our Business Meetings. Somehow we'll make it through the hiccoughs.

Hugs,
Jerry

Hi bm ASPers and Jerry...

Jerry: So, i gather from your response that this is in relation to service positions only ? That said, does this apply to policy and practices as well ? Also has the web site been reverted back to the original 2014 web site content at this point and is it ready for Anne to take over or does Steve still have work to do on it ? Can you provide a link to the current website with ALL the fixes on it at this point in time. Is there a link so that we can compare the 2014 content with the stuff that Jane put up?

One more thing all....after i reread what i posted in question 1 to Anne, it seems i may have caused problems for both Kristen and Anne with part of this question. Let me say that it was not my intention to make it seem like we bent the rules for others stepping up for service. The bm followed the rules to the letter and the trusted servants met all the requirements.

When i addressed the last part of the question about daily chairs i did not post the question correctly, thus it may have appeared to mean something else. I was NOT SAYING that any process or requirements were overlooked for past elections or for our trusted servants. I went back and reread some of the stuff from that meeting. It is on me that it appeared things were done differently due to the way i asked the question. Sorry for the confusion.

In the future i will be more careful in how i pose some of my thoughts and questions here. I owe both Kristen and Anne an apology for causing them any type of distress. I am sorry for any distress i caused you ladies.... I was simply trying to get clarification on the things i asked and did not mean to cause any problems for them. Thanks for reading and letting me share.

hugggsss,

karen c
