I like Mary A's suggestion of providing something short in welcome letter
with links for newcomers to follow up if they are suggested.  I do like the
idea of sample CAL and share as well as link to sponsorship; my most common
response to people is something along the lines of "it sounds like you need
to be talking to your sponsor and if you don't have one here's my ESH on
how I got mine".

I'm a little unclear on the welcome process.  When I joined ASP, I got a
letter from list administrator but that was it.  What exactly is the
procedure for greeters?
