I like the idea of a topic of the day set aside as a "1st Step Meeting."


I believe we have three "open" topics a week (? I don't have a schedule at hand.) One could be converted to a 1st Step topic which wouldn't require a separate topic chair. As mentioned, the letters to newcomers we already send could point the 1st Step meeting out to them, hopefully giving them a good start (along with the rest of our meetings.) 


With dozens of newcomers every week we could give them a rousing boost by sharing our ESH in an environment of welcoming.


[Note that this would take a group conscience since our current topic schedule is set by group conscience.]
