HI Jerry,

I'm confused. Again.

I understand that the current topic is the staff reports. Great. However, it
seems to me that issues raised by staff are then subject to question &
comment by the members of the Business Meeting.

This raises the question of where the boundary is between a question/comment
about something in a staff report and a "discussion" that should be an
agenda item.

In this particular case, I'm referring to your report that included a
discussion of the "Reply to All" issue, which resulted in some discussion.
IMHO, it appears to me that this report invited this discussion which
concerns me.

Additionally, I couldn't help but notice that in your report you said:

"Every day, twice a day, as List Administrator I receive notices of bounced
emails because of 'too many recipients.' Each has to be processed
individually, either accepting them for posting, or rejecting them because
of the improper addressing."

But, then today you said:
" . . . using "Reply All" to address emails to the Business Meeting is
absolutely unacceptable . . ."

If using the "Reply to All" function is absolutely unacceptable, why are you
spending time processing these individually, especially accepting some of
them for posting?

If they are unacceptable, then it seems to me that accepting them for
posting is accepting the unacceptable.

Please note that I am not saying that the LA should not reach out to these
members and attempt to inform them of the issue. One stock email sent out
BCC to as many members as necessary every few days is all that should be
necessary. Ditto to responding to the server - just because the server sends
out 2 notices/day doesn't mean that I need to log in and deal with them
twice a day.

Love and SERENITY,
Steve
