[Businessmtg] Greeter - Requirements for Serving

Hi everyone,

I agree with reducing the Greeter service requirement to 6 months.  This
service position seems to me to be more  learning the computer system and
organization in conjunction with welcome new members whereas in a F2F, the
Greeters are often newcomers in an effort to get them involved.

When I joined ASP a little over one year ago, I did not know the Greeter
requirements and was reluctant to volunteer for the position because of my
personal computer accessability and the time requirements - all of which I
was unaware of and sadly, did not ask.

I also do not think that al-anon experience should be part of the Greeter
requirements for the same reasons - topic chairs seem to be more about
al-anon knowledge and the Greeter service seems to be more about computer
knowledge and organization.
