Yes and no.
Yes, historically the List Owner (me) and subsequent List Administrators have periodically purged the list of inactive email addresses. This was usually done every year or two, which resulted in the list being trimmed from 700-1000 down to 200+.
The last time this was done was early during the term of the previous List Administrator nearly 4 years ago.
As a result, the current 2,808 that Jerry just quoted is significantly inflated with inactive members compared to the historical numbers from the past. I have suggested and requested that the List Administrator conduct another purge, however he has choosen not to do so and prefers the inflated list.

I’m not sure this is relevant, but since our old timers have raised the
subject about number of people in ASP, is the member list ever purged based
on non-activity? And if so, when was the last time?
I‘m leaning toward the one year requirement due to the “revolving door” of
members in ASP.
