[Businessmtg] Question about Number of Members in ASP

Sometimes what happens in groups is members just stop checking their emails, maybe they take a break, they slowly stop with the group, life gets in the way, heck, I’ve even been in groups where members have even passed on.

A very simple roll call would clear the issue right up. The Listkeeper would send an email to the main list, giving an amount of time such as, say 3 weeks. And everyone that wants to remain has to respond to the Listkeeper within 3 weeks or they get removed.

If they have a desire to stay in ASP then they’ll let you know. If not, that’s fine, too. Some people need to have personal accountability and unsubscribe if they move on, but not everyone is so kind to do that. When I joined this group I “got the feel for things” for about 2 months before sharing. If there would’ve been a roll call conducted at that time I would’ve most definitely responded. If someone chooses to not respond to a roll call that’s on them. Again, personal responsibility.

This poses an anonymity issue, if members are subscribed but haven’t shared or responded much in years, what if they no longer use the account? But maybe it’s still logged in somewhere in others have access to it? I don’t want my shares going out for God knows who to read. We do have to trust the process and hope people are allowing that kind of access anyway, but at the same time, you never know.

I don’t think this is a personal issue, maybe I’m wrong. But in all the groups I’ve been in (I’ve been in 2 other then this one and served as a TS for over 3 years in both) this has been either the Listkeeper or secretaries job. Seeming we don’t have a secretary, next in line would be the Listkeeper. Most lists are cleaned once a year. Just my experience. Although this does seem to be veering off topic, from our original motion discussion of the greeter time length.

Would this be a separate issue to be discussed at a different time? It seems important.
