So to be clear, the greeters help subscribe and then send the welcome emails to the newcomers? Why are they not subscribed then welcomed? Very confusing. 

I’ve never heard of that. Usually the Listkeeper does the subscribing and unsubscribing and the greeters do their jobs, they simply “greet” people. This explains why it takes so long for the info to get out. 

Has this always been the procedure? 

This also explains why the requirements are 1 year. In my previous experience greeters can start at 6 months, and Listkeepers at 1 year. But the greeters were not doing the Listkeepers job. 

So with this new information (thanks Anne!) I am *not* in favor of switching requirements to 6 months. I think it should stay at 1 year.
