[Businessmtg] Greeter responsibilities

To be clear, as a greeter, I have no access to any server information about members. My service position is basically one of low-level clerical work. We have standardized the responses that we send to applicants for those who qualify as well as those who don’t mention alcoholism or mention that the qualifier is an addict. I like the idea of these standardized responses. I think that it provides uniformity and better ensures that applicants get a very similar welcome.  About once a week, I respond to new members who have specific questions. I believe that someone who has minimum experience with ASP and/or Alanon could successfully participate in this service position. 

I am strongly in favor of reducing the requirements for greeter from 1 year to 6 months.
