Hello Biz Meeting,

 

I didn’t respond to this question in my previous email so I thought I would share my thoughts.

 

I'd also like to hear from all of you on how email communication may hinder the open dialogue and discussions so vital to reasoning things out and reaching consensus.

 

As many of you have pointed out it depends on the individual. Everyone is different and is fine with it or not. Me I’m fine with it, I think I actually prefer online business meeting to f2f. This is me and my hang-ups with talking in groups and fear of saying the wrong thing. In an email I communicate better, I’m able to articulate my thoughts because I can back space/delete/edit/proof/edit some more/and on and on until it’s just right. This process/method enables me to share openly and provide better support to the group meeting.

 

In summary, where some people feel this is a hinderance I see it as a blessing.
