In response to Kathy's question: 

The ASP Business Meeting currently remains on the discussion topic of
Service. 

ASP has a specific process for filling its service positions. In a day
or two the Business Meeting Chair will make a call for resumes from the
members of the Business Meeting who wish to stand for either the
Treasurer or Secretary positions. Candidates will be asked to complete
ASP's resume form and submit it to the Steering Committee. A 7-day
period is required for submitting resumes once this service call is
announced. 

At the end of this 7-day period all resumes received by the SC which
meet ASP's qualifications for officer service will be posted to the
Business Meeting for questions by the membership and the candidates'
answers. 

On or about Monday the 25th polls will be posted listing the qualified
candidates for each office. Members will then have 7 days to vote in the
polls.
